favorite coffee shops in estes park

Kind CoffeeThis local coffee shop is popular, but the line typically goes quickly. We enjoy drinking their coffee sitting by the Big Thompson River, or strolling down the Riverwalk.

Coffee on the Rocks Our girls love going to Coffee on the Rocks because they have a small duck filled pond outside with outdoor seating.

best breakfasts in estes park

Notchtop Bakery – This is located near Safeway grocery store. We enjoy their pancakes, oatmeal and other breakfast items.

Trailhead Restaurant – We typically go for hot chocolate and warm cinnamon rolls after a hike with the kids, but they have a full menu and great views! There is also a small playground right outside.

Lunch and dinner in estes park

Scratch Deli – We love ordering ahead and taking one of their amazing (enormous) sandwiches to-go for lunch.

Ed’s Cantina & Grille – Mexican food located on the Riverwalk, they have outside seating available.

Poppy’s Pizza & Grill – Great pizza and vast selection of beer can be found downtown Estes Park on the Riverwalk. They have outdoor seating which fills up pretty quickly.

Mama Rose’s – Italian food located on the Riverwalk. For a treat, my daughter likes to get a flight of different flavors of milk. Both girls also love spaghetti.

Dunraven Inn – Unique date night. This restaurant recently moved and now overlooks Lake Estes. We can’t wait to try out their new location.

Latitude 105 at the Ridgeline Hotel in Estes Park – This modern mountain restaurant has a good lunch and dinner menu. There was something for everyone from juicy burgers to flavorful salads. I appreciate that they serve beers from local Estes Park breweries, while also offering items on their menu that are gluten free.

Wapiti Pub – We recently went here for their excellent chili. We liked the atmosphere and the beer list featuring Colorado brews. We think this is a great spot to watch a football game.

Bird & Jim -I was thrilled to finally try out this popular spot during our last visit to Estes Park. We opted for carry-out on this trip, but we look forward to going back and dining in soon.

favorite breweries and winery in Estes Park

Rockcut – Great local brewery with laid back vibe and friendly staff. We enjoy outdoor patio and foodtrucks on nice evenings.

Lumpy Ridge – We enjoy the well crafted beers and small outdoor patio with views.

Snowy Peaks Winery – It’s nice to do a wine tasting while our kids play in the adjacent childrens toy and art area (within hands reach).

favorite sweet treats in Estes park

Hayley’s IcecreamIt’s hard to miss the smell of waffle cones as you walk by. We enjoy the selection of ice cream flavors. There is no place to sit inside, so we find a nearby bench in downtown Estes Park.

Cinnamon’s Bakery – located off of Elkhorn avenue, this bakery is well-loved for their cinnamon rolls. They are known for selling out, so make sure to pre-order to secure your spot.

Donut Haus – Good news, the popular donuts will now be available at Tiny Town Sinclair (860 Moraine Ave)

Restaurants and breweries on the way to Estes park

Mojo Taqueria in Lyons – Mexican food is my favorite. We sat out on their patio and enjoyed fresh chips and salsa and tacos. Delicious.

Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons – This is the original Oskar Blues location. They serve lunch and dinner. We enjoy their pizza, and of course their beer.

Avery Brewing in Boulder – We stopped in for lunch. I enjoyed their outdoor space. Ellie’s Brown is one of my favorite beers, so this was a special treat to sip a pint directly from the source.

The Roost in Longmont – We enjoyed lunch on Main Street of Longmont. The food was delicious, I can’t wait to go back.
